Recipes for Fall and Cooler Weather

I love it when the seasons change - I'm always so ready!  Fall officially arrives in a few days - and hopefully the weather will reflect that - but already I'm anticipating apple recipes, pumpkin recipes, and my favorite slow cooker meals.

If you're looking for recipes for fall, here's a great opportunity for you that will only be available a couple of days.  Christine from The Menu Mom and Menu Planning Central is offering an amazing deal on a bundle of a dozen e-cookbooks, all with a fall theme.  You'll find the aforementioned apple, pumpkin, and slow cooker recipes but you'll also find whole food, school lunch ideas, and even Halloween party food.  If 90% off the regular price sounds good to you, check it out here!

In the meantime, let me share one of our family's fall favorites, Loaded Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies (just click on the link).  This recipe makes a bunch of cookies that are great anytime but especially this time of year.  Think "after school treat," moms.  My next batch will include dried cranberries (Craisins) in place of the raisins, a new favorite.  They're awesome with dark chocolate chips.  Hmm, pecans or walnuts?  Which would you use?

Again, don't forget Christine's Fall ebook bundle.  Did I mention it's only 10 dollars?  Oh, yeh.  Good eatin' for cheap, but only through Thursday, Septmber 19th.  Enjoy!

UPDATE: This special offer has expired, but here's a consolation prize that we think you'll love - just click the link for a free membership to Meal Planning Made Simple. Try it - you'll like it!

  1. We definitely think about food differently when fall arrives and pumpkin is high on our favorites list though we don't have a pumpkin cookie recipe (yet).

    1. Thanks for stopping by! We have a couple of pumpkin cookie recipes that we love, both on the blog - search "pumpkin". The forecast looks promising, with temps set to drop into cookie-baking temperatures in the next few days. Let me know if you try one of our recipes!
